James is the CEO of Intrepid Group. He has been with the company since 2005. Over the past twelve years he has quickly risen through the business tackling a number of roles and regions, becoming CEO in March 2017. James was appointed Chair of The Intrepid Foundation soon after. As the company commits itself to be driven not just by Growth but also by Purpose Beyond Profit he is well suited to support the foundation as it grows in reach and impact over the coming years.
As one of the original founders of Intrepid Travel, and later The Intrepid Foundation, Geoff (Manch) remains committed to our work. His continued involvement in The Intrepid Foundation is fueled by his commitment to reciprocating the benefit of local travel by assisting the work of local organisations and projects. Geoff is especially proud of the connection that The Intrepid Foundation creates between our own local leaders and the projects that we support; they learn about the projects and community issues, and in turn are able to educate our travellers and inspire them to make a donation.
Darrell founded Intrepid Travel with business partner Geoff Manchester nearly 30 years ago. In 2002 the pair created The Intrepid Foundation as a way to give back to the communities that their business was working with. As a Board Director of The Intrepid Foundation Darrell is particularly interested in encouraging travellers to connect with The Intrepid Foundation projects in ways that will help change the way they see the world.
During her 17 years with Intrepid, Robyn has headed up International Business Development, Global Sales and Marketing, and the Commercial team. This diverse experience across the business uniquely enables Robyn to manage her role as General Manager of The Intrepid Foundation
Robyn has provided a clear strategic direction for The Intrepid Foundation and has worked to integrate it within all brands of the Intrepid Group. Robyn was a Director to The Intrepid Foundation Board between 2015 and her appointment as General Manager.
She is passionate about empowering travellers to positively impact the communities they visit, and is key to driving goals around increasing The Foundation’s impact, reach and fundraising.
