How to donate

Donating to community projects…

To donate to the Intrepid Community Project Fund, please search either by clicking on the location or project type to the left. You have the option of either just selecting the country you wish to support and your donation will be split amongst all the projects we have currently in that country OR you can choose individual projects.

Each project has a donation box at the bottom of the page. Simply type in how many multiples of AU$10 you would like to donate and click the 'donate' button. If you haven't donated online with The Intrepid Foundation before, you will need to create a login and password for yourself by filling in your details under "New? Please Provide Your Billing Information." Your details will then be confirmed and you can continue to the donation page to fill in your payment details. We accept Visa and Mastercard only.

If you have donated online previously you can re-use your login and password each time you donate. PLEASE NOTE: our system will remember your previous donations and may add them to your "shopping cart." When you reach the "Order Confirmation" page, please select the "Edit" button under "Shopping Cart Contents" and remove the projects you have selected on previous visits, but do not wish to donate to again.

All donations made to The Intrepid Foundation will be matched by Intrepid Travel dollar for dollar, up to the value of AU$300,000 per year and for a maximum of AU$5,000 total per donor for the financial year.

Administration costs for both funds will be entirely funded by Intrepid Travel and 100% of public donations will reach the nominated program or project.

UK Donors

From May 2010, The Intrepid Foundation has partnered with UK based TravelPledge to increase the support from UK donors for selected projects.  Five of our projects are featured on the TravelPledge site.  If you are a UK tax payer, your support for these projects will receive the added support of 'Gift Aid'.  We are currently featuring the following projects on the Travel Pledge site:

·         Schools essential kits through GOONJ, India

·         Weather resistant homes through Children's Hope in Action, Vietnam

·         Food and nutrition programme through Living Heart, Peru

·         Primary school education through Amani Children's Home, Tanzania

·         Computer skills training through Ptea Teuk Dong, Cambodia
