We are pleased to announce that the winner of the 2011 CNN Hero of the Year award is Robin Lim. Robin is the founder of Bumi Sehat a health clinic in Bali, Indonesia that offers free prenatal care, birthing services and medical aid to families who cannot afford care. The Intrepid Foundation has supports Bumi Sehat.
The average Indonesian earns $8 a day but giving birth in a hospital costs $70 with a Caesarian costing about $700. Bumi Sehat helps saves the lives of many mothers and babies and improve outcomes for many more.

Congratulations to Isobel Shearman for her winning entry to the Stop Sex Trafficking of Children and Young People competition run by Child Wise.

Her prize is a trip for two to Cambodia and a special 9-day Intrepid adventure that will include seeing her billboard on display and meeting the Child Wise team in Phnom Penh.
